Bags and Purses

My lovey daughter Michele sells 31 bags and purses and whenever she has an event she likes to make purse related things and have lots of give-aways. 

This is what guests will receive just for showing up.

It's a cute little purse filled with M&M's.

 

This adorable K-cup holder is what they will receive if they bring a friend.

They also receive something if they place an order.

There is wine, cheese, crackers and a yummy dessert as well.  People would have to be out of their mind not to show up! Ha Ha

I just made one little adjustment.  It calls for a 4 1/2 x 11 cardstock and I cut mine 4 1/4 just so I could get 2 out of one piece of cardstock.

Purses

It's too hot to be outside working in my garden and way too hot to be baking so I decided to do something else just for fun and made a couple of purses out of paper bags.

They are not for any thing in particular other than to keep on hand for when I need to give a gift card, little treat, or small gift.

It's Your Bag - I can sleep again

Well, this bag is finally finished after giving me nightmares and sleepless nights. I don't know why, but for some reason, I had a horrible fear of putting this together once the stitching and embellishing was done. I kept putting it off in fear, and having a reoccurring dream that it just wasn't going to work out. Friday I decided I was going to stop procrastinating and just do it. I found my heart racing, my hands trembling and even ended up with a stomach ache, as I was working on it. I had a sinking feeling that I was going to screw something up and all Susan's fabric and embellishments were going to be wasted. I perservired, finished it and I think it turned out just fine. All that woring was for nothing.

It's your bag challange

This is a purse I'm working on for a "It's your bag challenge" . I received a bag of fabric and embellishments from someone and the challenge is to make any sort of a bag out of it. I did add a few things of my own, but the idea is to use their stuff. I love the colors, so that made it easy to work on. It's almost done and now I just have to figure out how to put it together. I was even dreaming about it last night and it went together perfect in my dream. As I woke I was thinking 'oh this will be easy' well, now that I'm awake and have a clear head, I'm not so sure about that.

Purses

I'll confess. I have a purse obsession. I thought it was getting a little out of hand, so I put myself on a five purse limit. I got rid of most of my purses and only kept my five favorites. Then I told myself if I bought a new purse I had to get rid of one of my favorites because I can only have five at any given time. That worked for a long time until I found a glich in my system. Now when I am having purse buying withdrawal, I make one.

This one I just finished it was really fun to make, and went together fairly quick and easy.


This one I made last year and it took an outrageous amount of fabric and was way more labor intense than I had anticipated.
