Stampin' Up Event

Just in case you missed it, this is what you missed out on.

We made some adorable little bags. They can be Easter baskets, May Day bags or just a fun little everyday bag.

We made a cute little pop up card that fits perfectly into an envelope for mailing.

We made  a note card and even remembered to decorate the envelope.

This was a quick and easy simple simon card.  We made a thank you card as I think everyone should be sending more thank you cards.

We put a little something inside as well.

 This one is my favorite.  We used the masking technique and remembered to decorate the inside and the envelope.

Stampin' Up Event

Here are the lovely cards we made at my Stampin' Up Event.

We started out making a little note card size valentine card using the frog set that is free with a 50.00 purchase.

Next we made a sympathy card, at our age you can never have too many. This was made using the Dear Doily set. 

I love this set so much I used it for two cards.  I usually don't do that but this one just as so many possibilities with using just the stamp set, just the dies or combining the two.

 This hummingbird was made with stamping on the foil paper that is free with 50.00 purchase then cut out with a coordinating die.

We jazzed up the inside with this cute little flower.

 Then of course no event would be complete with some sort of treat holder as you guessed it, chocolate was involved.

We made this little guy into a Valentine treat just by putting a heart in his hand.

These are just a couple of cards that I was playing around using embossing powder.  I'm not good at it.

Stampin Up Event

I totally forgot to post pics from my last Stampin' Up event so without further ado …..

 Aren't these just the sweetest little treat holders.

 I found some cute little snowmen at Aldi, and they are just perfect for going inside.

We ended by making an assortment of tags.

Stampin' Up Event

I had another Stampin' Up Event and here is what we made.

 I kept messing up the stamped image of the inside of the card so I had to keep covering up my blunders.  Here is a little fact about card makers, they rarely toss their mishaps in the garbage.  They will always come up with a way of fixing it even if it means using more products and costing more time and money than it would to just start over.  I can't explain it, that's just the way it is.

 This one I wanted to keep it simple and let the beautiful paper be the center of attention.

This one is my favorite.

 And then of course no event would be complete if there wasn't chocolate involved. The idea came from Julie DeMatteo over at Paper Pixie.  You can find a video of exactly how it do this at Paper Pixie.

I'm not one that has really ever enjoyed Halloween with all the witches, skeletons and such, but I do enjoy giving and receiving little Halloween treats so I am making more of these and bringing them to my art group to use up all my Halloween paper I bought last year.

Stampin' Up Event

I had a wonderful Stampin' Up event and once again, if you missed it, you missed a great time.

We used the crate die to make a crate filled with flowers, and the best thing about it is that it folds flat so you can put it in an envelope and send it though the mail.

The other is a May basket that can be made in 3 minutes.

This interactive butterfly card was a fan favorite.

It was so quick and easy to make.  I know sometimes I say that and my friends beg to differ, but this time they all agreed,  It is amazingly simple. 

This card is made using the coffee stamp set and dies.

And lastly we used the March Paper Pumpkin kit to make this adorable little card/envelope duo.

Stampi' Up Event

Just in case you missed it here are pic from the last Stampin' Up Event.

Most of the time when I do a class I don't give them unlimited choices.  First of all some just can't make a decision to save their life and other times bringing out unlimited supplies is a recipe for disaster, especially if there is a large group.  But this time I wanted to showcase a card pack that has unlimited possibilities.  So they each got to choose a preprinted card base and take it from there.  These are the examples that I made and forgot to take a picture of their creations, which were all lovely.  You just have to trust me on that.

This little guy is note card size and is perfect for when you want to send a note but don't have a lot to say.

These little aprons were made using the Apron of Love set. We made one tag and the other is a book mark.  How cute would that be in a cookbook.  Yes, some people still use cookbooks.

And lastly are the stinkin' cute mini milk carton treat holders.  They are the perfect size for a Lindor chocolate.

Stampin Up Event

Well this time around was a bust. I had no one signed up for Saturday so I spend the day organizing, there will be a later post on that. Today was going to be the second event and the Minnesota weather got in the way of that, so once again here I am alone, putting the time to good use. A post for another day.

This is from the Waterfront Stamp Set and is one of my favorites.

These cards are made with the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack.   It's one of those things that gets totally overlooked in the catalog.  (Page  24, in the Occasions Catalog) People think of it as more for scrapbooking but it is a fabulous deal if you want to make a lot of nice cards for not a lot of money.  You get 72 double sided cards plus  2 sticker sheets, 2 accent sheets and 2 acetate sheet overlays for only $10.00. I used one of the stickers for the Happy Birthday Card.

How stinkin' cute is this tag?  It's only 3 inches high. This set comes with a stamp set and matching dies.  It's my second favorite from the occasions catalog and is going to be more fun than a barrow of monkeys.

And these little purses, are they not adorable? These were not my idea and came from Paper Pixie.

 I had to buy some Lindor chocolates for the occasion, since the purses are just big enough to hold one.

They snap shut with a tiny magnet.

This card is made with the note card set from page 195 in the Annual Catalog. and the Flourishing Phrases page 24. The set comes with 20 note cards and envelops.  The cards are 5 x 3 1/2 which is the perfect size for when you want to send a card and don't have much to say.
