Mini Clip Board

This is a little clip board that I made thinking it would make a really cute gift.

But since I have more ideas than I have friends, so far it is staying with me.

Fun with a friend

I have a good friend that came and spent the night so we could do some serious crafting.

See the white frame in the top left corner of the picture? Well, I couldn't figure out what the was all about until now.  I had my phone set in half selfie mode.   Geesh!  I didn't even know that was a thing.

The morning before she left was such a beautiful day, we had to take our crafting outside. This is Becky working with Brusho watercolor crystals.

 By the way, she admitted she was way over dressed and working up a sweat.

Apron Treat Holder

I just can't get enough of the Apron set.

Here is a mini treat holder.

It's the perfect size for a Hershey Nugget.

 Or a packet of tea. I think the Ghirardelli mini's would be a perfect fit as well. I don't have any on hand to try, but I have eaten enough of them to know they would fit.

Here  is another one I made and just made a little box first, then added the apron to the front and back.

This one is the perfect size for a Lindor Chocolate.

This little number is made with alcohol inks.

Mini Milk Cartons

What do you call a whole bunch of rabbits?  A herd or colony.  I know it's true 'cause I just looked it up on the world wide web, and everything on the web is true.
Anyway, here is my colony of rabbits that I made to bring to my art group tomorrow.

There are 29 of them, just in case you are wondering.

This one was the original, but after punching a few holes and trying to get them straight, I need to come up with a better plan.

So I just took a mini clothes pin, colored it with a sharpie and clipped it on the top to keep the little milk carton closed.  It also makes it much easier to get at the dove chocolate eggs inside.

Alcohol Inks

After moving to Spicer and having the need to socialize, I joined an art group. Some are professionals, some are very talented, and then there is me.  I'm just there to meet new people. It's a super supportive non-judgmental group and you can just do or own thing, or join in if someone is teaching a technique.  The last lesson was on alcohol inks and was loads of fun.  The inks are super hard to control, which is part of the reason why I like them, you just never know what you will end up with. I also really like the strong smell and may have gotten a little high, that might explain my madness.  Just kidding, I think. Mine started out looking like a hot mess.

 Then I got out some of my dies and punches and turned them into lovely cards.

These adorable narrow note cards are 2 1/2  x 4 1/2, come with envelopes and can be found on page 19 in the Occasions Catalog.

This one is made using a note card that is 3 1/2 x 5 and can be found on page 195 in the Stampin' Up annual catalog.

This one is not made alcohol inks.  I water colored the background, then stamped over the top using the Waterfront stamp set on page 48 in the Occasions Catalog.

Fun Foam

Let me start by saying, it doesn't take much to keep me amused.  Just give me some foam sheets, a couple of punches and a heat gun and I can keep myself busy.

I punched out some shapes from the foam sheets using my Stampin' Up punches.

They start out the size on the left, then after they have been hit with the heat gun they shrink down and get less pliable.  Remember the old Shrinky Dinks? Oh what fun they were, anyway these remind me of those good ol' days.

This is what I ended up with. Now what are you going to do with those you ask? I don't know and it doesn't really matter, all that matters is that I had fun doing it.

Snowflakes

My sister gave me some gorgeous paper that she brought back from Astana.  It a beautiful print on both sides and I have been hoarding it until now.  I found the perfect project to showcase both sides.

They are adorable snowflakes.  I had 5 of them hanging from my chandelier, but let my sister and niece choose one to take home with them.

And the wonderful thing about these is that they fold up flat and since they both live in a far-away-land, it will be easy to take with them.

Small Business Saturday

Well, I'm a little late posting this but life happens.  I was asked if I wanted to bring some of my wares to a small town to support small business Saturday, as they were having pop up shops in some of the other business. My daughter Michele jumped on the band wagon with me and we headed out. We did sell a few things but this was the first year they have done it so I think  people didn't know what to expect.  Here are some pic of what we tried to sell.
