Dotee Doll

This is Lucky Lucy. I haven't made a Dotee doll for awhile, so I thought it would be fun to make one in honor of St. Patrick's Day.


This is her little mesh bag of clovers that she carries with her everywhere she goes.

I joined a Christmas Dotee doll swap on Stitchin' Fingers and this is the wonderful doll that arrived from Christine in Sydney, Australia. I send an angel to my person and I was hoping to receive an angel in return.

I just had to get one more swap in before Christmas so I joined the Christmas Dotee Doll swap. I decided to go with an angel for my person, so she will be going out in the mail tomorrow.

This is my most recent addition to my collection of Dotee's. My friend Kathy and I did a private swap she received my Dorie and this is the one she gave to me. I don't think she named her so I'll call her Autumn.

Ironing board finds

I cleaned off my ironing board this week (it's 2 x 4 so it holds a lot of stuff) anyway these are just a few of the treasures I found. The kitten postcard just needs a backing and edges finished and that will be good to go. The purple post card, not sure why it go buried other than I guess I was waiting for a little inspiration. The Dotee doll is ready to be adopted and the Artist Trading Card is an abstract one that I didn't know where I was going with it, since I don't really do abstract.

Here are two more Dotee's for the exchange. I thought I would do a mother-daughter duo. I'm not sure if I will split them up or keep them together.

This is a Dotee doll from Judy, my swap partner at Stitching Fingers. I sent her a doll named Violet and she sent me a doll named Violet, kind of spooky isn't it.

This Dotee doll is for a swap. I'm still struggling with faces but at least they aren't so huge anymore.

Hulga, Hilda & Dorie

These three needed a little beauty makeover. Hulga and Hilda were just a little too ghostly looking so I used a little coffee on their faces and Dorie needed some hair and a little nose. Dorie has been adopted, so she is ready for her new home.

I'm still practicing for the Dotee doll swap. It turns out Hulga has a twin sister named Hilda. I still don't quite have the head thing down yet.

I joined a Dotee doll swap and thought I should do a practice run since I really am not comfortable with faces. I see I need a little work on getting the right body/head proportion.

This was a little out of character for me when I joined a swap for a dotee doll. The purple one is the one that I made and sent and the other one isn't from my parter, she never sent one, but the host was kind enough to angel me and the yellow one is the one she made for me. Thanks Jessica.
