Eggs and Alcohol Ink

Last time my daughter was home we colored Easter eggs and took it to a whole new level.  I bought the inexpensive plastic ones in two sizes thinking it would be fun to play around with alcohol inks.  And boy, I wasn't wrong, it was so much fun we couldn't stop.

They all turned out just lovely.

They are much more vibrant in person.

We took a dauber with a little alcohol on it, added the ink and went to town daubing away.

It was more fun than a barrow of monkeys.

Two sizes.

My friend Becky came a day early and she showed me know to make these black magic cards.
They are so much fun if you like to color.  First they are stamped, embossed with white embossing powder and then the fun begins.  Just take out your colored pencils and color away.

I have mine colored but not made into cards yet, so I'll post mine when they are finished. If I remember.

Stampin' Up Event

Just in case you missed it, this is what you missed out on.
We made some adorable little bags. They can be Easter baskets, May Day bags or just a fun little everyday bag.

                                            Inside of the bag.

We made a cute little pop up card that fits perfectly into an envelope for mailing.
We made  a note card and even remembered to decorate the envelope.
This was a quick and easy simple simon card.  We made a thank you card as I think everyone should be sending more thank you cards.
We put a little something inside as well.
This one is my favorite.  We used the masking technique and remembered to decorate the inside and the envelope.

Just Playing with weird stuff

I came across a roll of silver tape in one of my drawers and I'm absolutely certain that I bought it with something grand in mind but I don't remember buying it and it's moved with me twice so it's time to do something with it.
I first cut off a piece and ran it through my Big Shot using an embossing folder. That turned out pretty cool, now hmmm what else can I do with it.
I pulled out a stamp set and stamped a couple of cars.  You can get coordinating dies for this stamp set so I cut them out, interesting look, now I may have to try cutting out some gears just for fun.

Country Floral Embossing Folder

Here is another Stampin' Up item that is free with a 50.00 during the sale-a-bration event.

Here it is on white cardstock.

This on is on yellow cardstock and I inked the embossing folder with crumb cake ink before I ran it through the big shot.

These are white cardstock with highland heather ink.

More free stuff from Stampin' Up

I am gearing up for my next Stampin' Up event, thinking spring and showcasing some new free products.

This Stamp set and DSP are bundled together and are free with a 100.00 purchase.
This a die set that coordinated with the stamp set that will be available for purchase March 1st.
We will be making a card similar to this.

How stinkin' cute is this paper? It's part of the free bundle.  And yes, we will be making a cute little purse.
And just in case you are wondering why I am in spring mode, this is our lake view. When I am sitting in my rocking chair, this is what I see.

Dryer Sheets

Let me start by saying I don't use dryer sheets, I use those wool balls and love them.  However, for some reason my husband doesn't trust them so he tosses in a half of dryer sheet. He is Dutch and very frugal, just in case you were wondering. Anyway, when my friend Becky was here, she had seen on Pinterest cards using dryer sheets so I decided to give it a whirl.
I used Stampin' Up adhesive sheets to adhere it to the cardstock.
I then stamped over the top.  This one I'm on the fence if I like it or not, so it's not finished.

 This one I really like.
There is a close up. The pictures don't do it justice but it adds dimension and texture for a fun effect.

Here is a card using the Memories & More pack.  Inside the box was a huge assortment of dodads designed to use for scrapbooking.  But it was a great value and I wanted to show my customers how to think outside the box so we made cards out of them.

I came across the leftovers and decided I needed to make a bridal shower card to have on hand, just in case.

I WAS on a roll!

It's been snowing and blowing with icy roads for the past week. Here is my lovely view.
All my fun stuff has been cancelled so I decided to be productive.  I went though all my stuff in my two cubby holes, got rid of tons of stuff that should never have moved with me, and decided to keep the momentum going and go though nooks and crannies in my craft studio.
Then this happened.
There was a light dusting of snow on top of a very icy side walk and I fell and sprained my wrist.  At least I didn't break it and it's my left hand, but still...….

Lucy hasn't made an appearance on my blog for a while so she thought it was time.

Bits and Pieces

Here are a few cards I made from a pile of my leftovers.

Organized

I'm in an organizing like of mood.  I went though my cubby hole and all the unopened boxes from 1 1/2 years ago when we moved and got rid of more stuff.  The boxes were marked so it wasn't as if I had no clue what was in any of them, but an awful lot of them were marked "Unfinished Projects".  So I sifted and sorted and banged my head quite a few times ( I did say it is a cubby ) but I managed to get though all the boxes and tubs and actually got rid of some of my treasures.
As long as I was in the spirit of organization, I decided my growing number of cards needed to be organized as well.

And was that ever a good feeling to get that done.  Now when some wants to buy cards from me, I'm all set.  By someone, I mean my sister,  last time she wanted to buy some cards, they were everywhere, I was scurrying around like a little squirrel trying to remember where I buried my nuts.

Now I'm ready to tackle a few that have been started, and some left over kits from events, ect.

Oh I have a lot more than what is in this little pile, .they are just scattered here and there just like my cards were
