Kids don't try this at home

I bought some bottle caps a long time ago when I was doing Artist Trading Cards.  I just recently discovered that you can send them through the Big Shot and smash them. So I got the brain storm idea to try it with a pop bottle cap.

You can't really tell by the picture but it is embedded into the plate of my machine and had to be pryed out with a screwdriver. I recommend buying them and they just happen to be in the newest Stampin' Up seasonal catalog page 24. There are two sizes in one package.

The ones that you buy start out looking like this.

After you send them through the machine they look like this.  You can buy cute little images specific for bottle caps.  Or you can use the Stampin' Up A Fitting Occasion Stamp set and an one inch circle punch.

I think these would be really cute on a guy card.

Card from Australia

Yesterday I got a super cute card from Gina in Australia, she was one of the people that had left a comment so I send her an envelope of goodies and she sent this to me in return.
It's a paper napkin over the top a an old cd/dvd.  Very Clever isn't it?  The the envelope is so cute too.  I tried to open it without ripping the envelope and failed at that.

Saturday fun

Saturday I had another Stampin'Up make and take event with five more projects.
Just in case you weren't here this is what you missed.
We made a wedding card, a birthday card, a super cute Easter card and a mini 3 x 3 inch card and envelope with the sentiment of their choice. And then a match stick Ghirardelli chocolate holder.

I received a fun little surprise in the mail today from one of my followers that had responded to my card question. I sent her a little package and today I received this super cute snap bag. It's purple, my favorite color with sweet little beads embellishments. Thank you Robbie.
Yesterday and today we are having a snow storm so I decided to do some sewing. Last week when I was going through some fabric in my sewing room, I came across a jelly roll that I bought a couple of years ago to make a bag that you take the fabric and wrap around cording. Well, I figured the bag thing just wasn't going to happen so I am using it for a fun project I found on pinterest.
You start out sewing strips together like crazy. I sewed four together but you can sew as you like together. Then cut them so you have a square.

Put two squares together with the strips going the opposite direction.

Cut them diagonally,

Trim and sew back together and you get this.

Four blocks.

Is there anybody out there?

And who who who's reading my blog?
That's the question that I often ask myself after I've done numerous postings with no response.  So after my last post I decided everyone that answered the question 'which one is your favorite?' is getting a little thank you for reading my blog surprise. So to the three of you, you know who you are, you can expect a little something and I thank you very much for your kinds words.

Is a beautiful blustery day out today and these pictures just don't do it justice.

I love the snow and would really miss it if I lived any where else. I even went out a did a little shoveling.
However, I do think Sophie Mae might have the best idea yet.

I just couldn't stop

Have you ever started doing something then you tried to stop doing it and you just couldn't stop? Well that happened to me.
I started making cards with my new window frame.

It all started with a lace doily. And then I found a little piece of lace that I was going to toss out, then it hit me, a perfect lace curtain for a card.

Then I found more lace that I thought was even more perfect for window cards.

So I made some more cards.

Then I found a butterfly that was just begging to go on a card.

I just had to make some using my song birds cut out of an old hymn book
that I got at a second hand store.
I tried to stop I really really did.
Does anyone have a favorite?
