Baskets of flowers

These are the cards I made for the group that came to my last Stampin' Up event.  I did some experimenting with different technics for coloring. I used colored pencils, watercolor pencils, markers, and blender pens.

Stampin' Up Event

I had a wonderful Stampin' Up event and once again, if you missed it, you missed a great time.
We used the crate die to make a crate filled with flowers, and the best thing about it is that it folds flat so you can put it in an envelope and send it though the mail.
The other is a May basket that can be made in 3 minutes.

This interactive butterfly card was a fan favorite.
It was so quick and easy to make.  I know sometimes I say that and my friends beg to differ, but this time they all agreed,  It is amazingly simple.
This card is made using the coffee stamp set and dies.

And lastly we used the March Paper Pumpkin kit to make this adorable little card/envelope duo.

I have a cat now

Yes, it's true, but it's not your ordinary run of the mill cat, she is a joint custody cat.  How does that work you ask?  Well let me tell you, quite well actually.  She stays at my friends house most of the time, then when my friend is going to be gone an excessive amount of time, she come here.
She is a year old, was born and spend most of her life in a shelter, so needless to say, she has a lot to learn.  Some might say she is a bit of a wild child. She loves to jump on the fireplace mantel, refrigerator, table, counter and such, then she takes a swing and knocks random things to the floor. I don't keep a lot of things on my counter, so when she could find anything unattached to amuse herself, she took to batting at the hanging light above my island.  Uff dah!  A spray bottle of water is helping but she is keeping me on my toes.

She is so sweet when she is sleeping.

I haven't dared to let her into my craft room, partly I'm afraid of the damage she will do and partly because there is so much stuff in there I fear she may disappear never to be seen or heard from again.
For a while she was okay with waiting outside the door for me to come out, when something came over her and she made it in mission to come in.
It didn't take her long to figure out how to slide that barn door open.

So I locked her out with a broom.  She tried with all her might to get in.

And just in case you are wondering, she is getting along just fine with Lucy Lu.

Apron Treat Holder

I just can't get enough of the Apron set.
Here is a mini treat holder.
It's the perfect size for a Hershey Nugget.
Or a packet of tea. I think the Ghirardelli mini's would be a perfect fit as well. I don't have any on hand to try, but I have eaten enough of them to know they would fit.

Here  is another one I made and just made a little box first, then added the apron to the front and back.
This one is the perfect size for a Lindor Chocolate.

Beautiful Day Stamp Set

Here is another card I made using the Beautiful Day Stamp Set and Brusho watercolor crystals.

This little number is made with alcohol inks.

Brusho Watercolor Crystals

Stampin' Up recently came out with Watercolor Crystals. They come in a package of 5 different colors and are crazy fun to work with.
You poke a hole in the top and shake the crystals out very carefully as it is fine powder and can become airborne easily.
Here is a great video that explains it better. Click here.
For this card I used yupo paper and love the effect.

This one I stamped it first then used the crystals and a water color brush.

I used the Beautiful Day Stamp set.

Lastly, I just like how the background has the look of texture and depth.

Grunge Cards

I love grunge cards, I don't know why I don't make more of them.  Actually I do know why, it's because not everyone likes grunge. So I can't send them to just anybody and when I am doing an event not all my customers like grunge so I only make them on occasion.
These are made with the Eastern Palace Dies.

You can also get a wonderful stamp set that coordinates with the dies.

For the background I used the Timeless Textures stamp set.
