Dear Doily Cards

Here re just a few ideas of what you can do with that wonderful Stampin' Up Dear Doily Bundle.  The stamp set can be used alone or with the dies.

I started cutting with my dies …...

and just couldn't stop.  Now I have lots of bits and pieces to use for future cards.

Alcohol Inks

Just to show that I'm not making cards 24/7.  Here are a couple of master pieces that I made with alcohol inks.
One of the things (besides the smell) I like about this is that you can just drop ink on any non porous  suffice and watch the magic happen. The last pic is on canvas and I used a brush for a little more control.
If you want to learn more about these wonderful mysterious inks there are thousands of videos but here is one that isn't long and boring,  Watch Alcohol Ink Video

More Wreath Cards

I love the wreath technic. So here are a few pics of my latest.

They are so fun once you have a template, they are so easy.  If you want to leave how easy and fun they are hop over here and watch Nola Creations.

What are friends for?

They are for having spend time at your house making cards.  My friend Becky came for the Stampin' Up Event and then spent the night so we could craft all day.  I taught her how to make the wreath cards and made a template for her and boy did she go to town.

Unfortunately the pics were taken in my craft studio and they have taken on the colors of my walls.  You will just have to trust me when I tell you they are much better in person.

Stampin' Up Event

Here are the lovely cards we made at my Stampin' Up Event.
We started out making a little note card size valentine card using the frog set that is free with a 50.00 purchase.

Next we made a sympathy card, at our age you can never have too many. This was made using the Dear Doily set.

I love this set so much I used it for two cards.  I usually don't do that but this one just as so many possibilities with using just the stamp set, just the dies or combining the two.

This hummingbird was made with stamping on the foil paper that is free with 50.00 purchase then cut out with a coordinating die.

We jazzed up the inside with this cute little flower.

Then of course no event would be complete with some sort of treat holder as you guessed it, chocolate was involved.
We made this little guy into a Valentine treat just by putting a heart in his hand.

These are just a couple of cards that I was playing around using embossing powder.  I'm not good at it.

Cards

With the new year comes the new Occasions catalog. That makes my heart all aflutter with excitement as I will be getting some fun products to play with.
This card was made from the Humming Along stamp set and Framlit Dies.
It has a hummingbird in the set that I will be using for my upcoming event.

This card was made with a set that is free with a fifty dollar purchase. Coloring isn't my strong suite.

Happy New Year

Some people ringing in the new year with family and friends playing games and cards, which would be my first choice. But since that was not happening, I spent the evening in my studio creating cards instead of playing them.
If you are a card maker then you have seen the wreath cards that have been floating around on the world wide web. Well I have been sitting on the dock watching for a long time before I decided to dive in.
This was the first card using this technic.

You start out with a template, which is surprisingly easy to make, then take out your handy dandy Stamparatus  and let the fun begin.

If you want to see a great video on making the template and card just hop on over to Nola Creations and get started joining in on making super cute and fun cards.

Stampin' Up has The Sale-a-bration Event going on and this is one of the free sets with a 50.00 purchase.
