Organizing

Are you guys familiar with this handy dandy little machine?
In case you don't know what it is, it's a label maker and it makes labels (just in case you were wondering what a label maker makes)  I had it on my Amazon wish list for a while then right before my birthday it was 10.00 cheaper than it had been so I quickly messaged my favorite daughter to tell her the good news and yep you guessed it, I got it for my birthday.
And now you are wondering what in the world are you going to do with it. My husband asked me the same thing and I told him I was going to put labels on the kitchen cabinets and drawers so he won't have to ask where things are and so he can put them back in the proper place, (And I won't have to sarcastically think in my mind, the same place it's been for the last 20 + years).  As tempting as that was, I didn't do it but instead I started out labeling a few of my cords, I'm not finished with that project yet.

Then I moved on to getting organized with some of my Fun Stampers Journey stamps, dies and embossing folders.
Oh boy, I'm just getting started, who knew organizing could be so fun.

Happy Rainy Monday

I've been working on cards for my neighbor.  She wanted 12 cards all with the same verse and some with flowers and some more manly. This is the third time I've made these cards for her so I'm not sure if she is hoarding them, forgetting where is put them after she receives them or just knows a lot of people that are hurting, Whatever the deal is, she is the best neighbor in the world and I am happy to be able to make these for her.

And as long as I had a mess on my table, I pulled out these wood butterflies that were a free product for Fun Stampers Journey.
I grabbed a couple of stamps and stamped on them just for fun.

Happy Birthday

After years of getting less than perfect birthday gifts from my husband, I have finally mastered how to get exactly what I want. I showed him something on Etsy, told him that is what I want and I will order it if he would like to too.  It was a win win for both of us, he did nothing and I got just what I wanted.

Aren't they just gorgeous? They are super light weight and fit perfectly in my hand to make crocheting easier and even more fun that it already is. They come sets or you can order just one in any size hook you need.  I got a set of the hooks that I use the most.
If you want to check it out you can find the set I ordered here.

Crocheting

Here are a few crocheting projects I've been working on. And just as you would expect from me, I never start a project, finish it and start another, I start one, then another and yet another. Eventually I may or may not get any or all of them done.
This baby afghan is going to my nephew and his wife for their baby girl being born in August.
Here are a couple of prototype hats that I will be selling in the fall.

I also have a cat and panda bear started.  :)

Happy May

My neighbor and I are the few people left in the world that still celebrate May with May Baskets.  This time I went with the 30 second cup fold.  It's not really a basket but it works.

I call it the 30 second cup fold because it really does take 30 seconds to make and that includes the time it takes to choose the paper. I used to help out at the library for the summer reading program and when I did origami the was one of the projects and even the 5 year olds could do it.
I also baked cookies and just grabbed a little  box I had sitting and added some butterflies I had sitting around.
