Microwave bowl cozy

I think these bowls are just genius.  They have been around for a while but are totally new to me. A cousin received one for her birthday and when I saw it  I knew I needed to have one or two so I looked on line and found a free pattern.

You just place your bowl of soup, oatmeal or whatever you wish the cozy, pop the works in the microwave, and when you pull it out you have something to hang onto so you won't burn your hands. How smart is that and why didn't I think of it?

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

I had a request for the bar recipe that I served at my Stampin' Up event so here it is.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
Preheat oven to 325
1 (18.25) package yellow cake mix  (I used caramel cake mix)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup creamy peanut butter (I used a caramel almond spread)
2 eggs
Combine in a large bowl and mix until smooth.  Press into a 9 x 13 pan reserving 1 1/2 cup mixture to crumble on top.
1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
Melt in a small pan and pour over cake mixture.
Crumble the reserved cake mixture on to top evenly.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.  Cool completely before cutting into bars

Stampin' Up Event

Here are the pics from my last Stampin' Up Event.  Of course once the guess arrive, we start having so much fun, I totally forget to get my camera until everyone one has left the scene.
I had asked everyone to bring show and tell and if they did they would receive small gift. So I made these little envelopes and poked a couple of fun things inside.
For this card we stamped the image, then used the aqua pen to water color the soup bowl.

This one is a fun fold card made using the  Sprinkles of Life Stamp set and the tree builder punch set.  I just love the tree branch inside with the teeny tiny bird in the nest.

This is made from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and tree builder punch set as well but takes on a totally different look.
This little beauty was made using the Awesomely Artistic stamp set.

The last project is a cute little bag made using the bag punch board. I love the Bohemian designer paper and the dotted lace trim bow.

More Recycling

Just when I think it's safe to throw something away ....
I came across some cute little cell phone holders made from cassette tape holders.
Luckily I tossed out a bunch before I came across this idea or I may have been temped to keep them but I have a couple that didn't get chucked yet so I turned them into these ...

I am trying out some new thinks for my Etsy Shop this this is one of my creations.  They come with a choice of a pin back or a clip which is really nice for scarves, purses or pet collars.
