Easter Cards

Keeping with my goal of sending out more cards, I made Easter cards and actually finished them in time to get them sent so everyone will get theirs before Easter.  Yaaay!
Here is a sampling of some of the cards.

Recycling

I like to give away cards in little boxes but right before my Arizona trip I realized I was all out so I dug out this stiff cardboard from the back of Stampin' Up designer paper and though I would see if I could use up some of those.
I got a little carried away stamping on this side but I was trying to cover up a chocolate smudge.
In hindsight I should have washed my hands after eating this.
And stamped it before I but it together.

Just Because

Here is another card I made using the Sheltering Tree stamp set and leftover scraps laying around.

Favorite tree card

This is my favorite tree card so far.  Since most of my customers ordered the tree stamp this is the card I made for them as a thank you.  Just in case you are thinking, oh no, I really missed the boat on that one, fear not, you can still order this stamp set from the occasions catalog through June 2nd.

I took pictures with my phone and don't know how to rotate so you'll just have to turn your head for this one.
Recipe for Tree Card

Cut base cardstock 11 x 4 .25

Score at 2 inches and 7.5 inches

Cut brown card stock 4.25 x 3.25

Cut yellow cardstock 3 x 4 for tree

3.25 x 4 emboss with decorative dots embossing folder

Inside cut cardstock 5.25 x 4

For the moon using ¾ inch punch, punch out circle- I use the top of a post it note that way there is sticky on the back side.  Place that where you want your moon to go then using daubers or sponge, pounce around the circle with a darker ink than your cardstock. Pull off the post it note.

Tree Card Day 5

This one I made using leftover scraps from the cards that I made for everyone that placed an order at the last Stampin' Up Event.  I'll post pictures of those next week when I get back after I have delivered most of the orders so not to ruin the surprise.

Tree Card Day 4

I stamped the background with the snowflake stamp using sky blue and embossed the pool party paper with the Decorative Dots folder.

Tree Card Day 3

This little number was stamped with Whisper White Ink on black cardstock for a chalk board effect.

Tree Cards Day 2

For this card I used designer paper for the background and stamped the leaves once with red and once with yellow then added a ribbon and some bling on the bottom.

Tree Card Day 1

I'm on vacation this week, I'm in sunny Arizona visiting my cousin for a few days so I thought I would showcase the Sheltering Tree stamp set from the Stampin' Up Occasions catalog while I'm away.
This is just a very basic card that needs no explanation.  I just like it.
