Stampin' Up Event

I totally forgot to take pictures at my Stampin' Up event, so I will just show pictures of the projects that we made.

We made cute covers for mini composition books

We made a cardinal card using the Beauty of the Season stamp set from the seasonal catalog.

Now with jars being so popular we had to make a jar shaped card,  This one qualified for my three minutes or less category.  I always thy to include a really quick and easy project because we are busy people and we don't always have hours to spend making cards.

This one was really fun.

It has a unique closure.
We also made a gift card holder, but I gave the sample away already.

Fun with Friends

I just realized I had these pictures on my camera and never got around to posting them on my blog. I got together with my ever so talented friends and the first thing we did was have show and tell.
This is Jeanette and Bev sporting their wool purses that proved to be neither quick or easy. Bev bought the book almost a year ago at our retreat and it took this long to figure out how to make them and then get them done.

They turned out super cute but neither will be making another one.

This is Jeanette showing off her wonderful grandmothers garden quilt.
 This is my favorite block.

Bev won this cute little number on a quilt shop hop bus trip.
I think without the stark white jumping out it would be super cute and it looks so easy I might try to make one.

After show and tell the fun began with Kathy giving us a lesson in gel printing.
It was so incredibly amazing to see the results, that Evy, Jeanette and I had to order our own gel printing plates from Amazon.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival so see what we can create.
These are the papers that I came home with.

Kathy and Jeanette

Last week I invited two of my friends over for a day of paper fun. I invited them to use any and all of my stuff. Well, needless to say Kathy didn't use anything of mine and I used a couple of her dies and cut out trees and deer for Jeanette and myself.

Jeanette made a few cards with a couple of my stamps.

And Kathy made some adorable Keurig cup holders.

Michele came home for a wedding this weekend and we made some pop up cards.
The color on my camera is kind of messed up so I'll take some better pictures once I get it figured out.

And the winner is ............

The one and only person that reads my blog regularly Kathy.   She was the only entry so she is going to get all the fabulous prizes. I hand picked all the prizes just for her and since she is an avid card maker I chose mostly paper products and card making supplies.
She is receiving these lonely mini note cards.
And a little box to keep them in.

Bakers Twine.

A Caribou Coffee note book.
 A Caribou Coffee mini journal.
Along with a Caribou Coffee gift card.
And lastly the ever popular Work of Art stamp set from Stampin' Up. Thanks Kathy for being my #1 (and apparently only) fan.

More Cards

I've had some fun dies sitting around and just got around to making some cards with them.
I may have gotten a little carried away with the pink flowers on this one.
I just love this one with all the cute little animals.

This one I made for my niece. She raises sheep and sent me some wool roving so I thought it was fitting that I send her a couple of sheep cards.
