Cat Cards

I made a few of these cat cards a while back and I liked them so much I decided to make 6 more.
When I set out to make more I had forgotten how labor intensive they are as it ended up being an all day affair.
First I stamped the 6 backgrounds with the wood grain stamp from Stampin' Up.  After cutting out all 18 of the cats I then embossed them using three different embossing folders.  I dobbed the edges of all the cats and the wood grain backgrounds. I punched out the eyes and hearts using the owl punch from Stampin' Up.  After gluing those on I cut out and attached the whiskers and added a candy dot for the nose. When attaching the cats to the background I used dimensionals to pop two of them up leaving the middle one flat. I then attached the background to the card and whew (whipping the sweat from my brow) I was done.

Tag it Tuesday

I love tags and think people should use them more often.  They should always be added to gifts, there is no question about that but they can be used for other things as well.  You can bring cookies to a friend or neighbor and add a tag.  Add it to a bouquet of flowers, not bringing flowers to any one?  Add it to your own bouquet. They are just fun to have sitting around the house. Go ahead a hang one next to or on your computer and see how much enjoyment you will get out of it. Don't have a tag, and want to try it?  Just let me know and I'll send you one.

Festive Flurry

I let a friend borrow my Festive Flurry Framlits and Stamp set and when I got them back she also gave me this.
Isn't it super cute?  The picture doesn't really do justice to the actual ornament.

Back into the swing of things

I'm trying to get back into the grove of things after my vacation so I hosted another Stampin' Up event.  Once again we had a grand time and in honor or the Sale-a-bration not only did they get to choose a free product if they spend 50.00 I gave some core'dination paper and then they also got to choose a lovely parting gift.
